back to top@nyanotech I misread that as "soil radar chips" and was very confused.
@nyanotech That's one way to avoid expensive PCB fabrication and design, I guess.
Although I can't imagine that the antenna-on-package fabrication business has any serious size to it.
@nyanotech soli was so cool and instead of using it for cool things they just did gimmicky stuff that Samsung did a decade ago with IR and then shitcanned it because the implementation of the gimmicks sucked :(
Read a lot of their research and dug into some of the cool bits during my HCI studies and it's sad to see it killed.

iirc they were also using it to wake up the facial recognition as you were reaching for the phone, which is nice i guess
